Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: Our website allows guests to make reservations online. Just search for the property you want and go to the “Book Online” tab. If you prefer, you can also call or email us to make a reservation. If you are trying t o book a property for the winter monthly rate, you will need to contact us to make a reservation.
Q: Why are there 3 different rates listed for a property?
A: The rates listed in the property description are per night and for each season. First rate (high season) includes the summer (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend), Spring Break and Sandfest. Mid Season is Sept (after Labor Day) through October and March to Memorial Day weekend (excluding Spring Break and Sandfest). Low Season is November t hrough February. Winter monthly rates are available December, January & February.
Q: What deposit is required when making a reservation?
A: The deposit is 25% of the total amount due . This deposit can be paid by credit card or you can mail us a check if you book over the phone. The deposit goes toward the total amount owed and you will receive a confirmation with updated balance.
Q: When is the remaining balance due?
A: The remaining balance of your reservation is due and payable 7 days prior to arrival. We do allow guests to pay their remaining balance at check-in. However, our cancellation policy would still need to be followed. We accept credit cards, cash or money orders on the day of check in. If you wish to pay by check, we must receive the check at least 7 days prior to your arrival.We do not accept checks for your final balance at check in.
Q: What is your cancellation policy on rentals?
A: Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to arrival are subject to a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made more than 7 days but less than 30 days prior to arrival would result in loss of the 25% deposit. Cancellation within 7 days or less prior to arrival would result in a loss of the entire stay amount.
Q: How old do I need to be to rent a property?
A: We only rent to responsible parties 25 years or older, with ID verified at check in. The name on the ID will need to match the name on the credit card making the reservation.
Q: Do you allow pets in your properties?
A: Some of our properties allow pets. Be sure to look at the property description and note whether or not it allows pets before making a reservation. Smoking is not allowed inside any of our properties.
Q: Do you provide maid service?
A: No, the property will be cleaned prior to your arrival and after you check out, but we do not offer maid or towel service during your stay.
Q: What is provided in your properties?
A: Our properties, like most vacation rentals across the country, operate as self-catering properties. A start-up supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and dish soap is provided, but after that you are responsible for any additional needs. All properties are equipped with basic kitchen needs (pots, pans, silverware, coffee pot, microwave, etc.). Note that food products are not provided for safety reasons. All our properties are supplied with one set of sheets for all beds. Bath towels are supplied per number of people the house sleeps.
Q: What should I bring with me?
A: Suggested items to bring are beach towels, extra paper goods (toilet paper, facial tissue and paper towels), extra pillows if you wish to sleep with more than one, coffee filters, spices/seasoning, bathing soap and shampoo, extra dish soap, extra trash bags, sun tan lotion/sun block and beach gear.
Q: What other fees are there in addition to the rent?
A: Daily rates quoted on our website do not include applicable lodging tax of 13%, $50 Accidental Damage Waiver fee, cleaning fees, or pet fees (if the property allows pets) . Winter monthly rates are not subject to the 13% lodging tax.
Q: How many people can stay at my property?
A: Each property description clearly states the number of people allowed to stay at a particular property. This number is total occupancy, including children and adults.
Q: What is the Accidental Damage Waiver Plan?
A: This program protects you from accidental damage up to $1500. The cost is $50 and is not refunded to you at check out. All guests are required to participate in this plan. This will cover unintentional damages that occur during your stay, provided any damages are disclosed prior to checkout. Damages in excess of $1500 will be charged to the credit card on file. Missing items from the property will be charged at the actual cost of rep lacement. Intentional damage or vandalism will be reported to the police.
Q: Can I get a refund if there is bad weather?
A: We do not give refunds simply for bad weather. In the event Port Aransas is under direct threat from a hurricane, we would issue refunds.
Q: Is free Wifi available at your properties?
A: Many but not all of our properties provide free wifi. Check the listing description of a property to determine if it has wifi. We make no guarantees as to the speed or quality of the internet conn ection.
Q: Can I park a boat trailer or RV at the property?
A: Some properties have space to park a boat trailer, although many do not. Please check before planning to bring a boat trailer. RVs or travel trailers are not allowed at any of our properties.
Q: I left something at the property I stayed in, can you send it back to me?
A: We will attempt to locate your property and mail it back to you for a $25 fee plus postage.
